In 2019 Dick transitioned UTI to a 100% employee owned company to further engrain the business within the industry and provide long-term stability for the employees.

HOBART (HOBY) GRISET, PE
Chief Consulting Officer

Hoby’s passion for problem solving and providing personal service continues after more than 40 years in the natural gas industry. Despite stepping down from UTI’s day-to-day operations in 2019 he continues to be involved in customer relations and business oversight, and is blessed to be able to travel and spend precious time with his wife and family.

President

Throughout a career touching significant areas within the pipeline industry, Jason has worked to understand and meet significant project goals. This experience has helped drive teams that work together to deliver well planned and balanced solutions. Out of the office, you'll find Jason balancing himself while enjoying various water sports.

CHRIS LANKA, PE
EVP / Chief Operating Officer

Chris’s engineering background provides him with the technical foundation to assist clients with challenging problems and provide direction within UTI to ensure the continual development, growth, and improvement of our core business groups. He enjoys problem solving, process improvement, and implementing new technologies at UTI. Outside of work, Chris spends his time with family and friends, watching the Dayton Flyers, and escaping into the mountains.

ROD BENNETT
SVP / Chief Financial Officer

Rod is a long-time career accounting executive experienced in serving external and internal customers with timeliness and accuracy. When not working, Rod likes to spend time with family and friends, participate in 5Ks and attend OU Bobcats events as well as those of many Ohio professional sports teams.

JOHN JOHNSON
Vice President of Operations

With a vast array of operational experience, John knows what it takes to meet a client’s expectations. That experience and knowledge allows John to focus on making UTI an industry leader. When not running projects, you can always find John up early running the streets.

KYLE GRUPENHOF, PE
Director of Engineering

Kyle’s core focus is providing engineered solutions to UTI’s clients from small scale distribution projects to complex, multi-discipline pipeline station designs. His drive and attention to detail are second to none. Outside of work Kyle is usually chasing his two toddlers, or hanging in his hammock in the West Virginia backcountry.

VINCE DALCHUK
Director of Operations

Corrosion control and pipeline integrity have been Vince’s principal focus during his career and while at UTI. Vince listens to UTI’s customer needs and works to provide a solution. When away from UTI, Vince spends time running and volunteering with a local Boy Scout Troop.

NICOLE WASHINGTON
Compliance Manager

Having had her hand in operations and engineering roles, Nicole now provides regulatory oversight and support for UTI’s transmission, distribution, gathering and master meter clients. When not at work, you can find Nicole traveling to a sporting event supporting one of her children, volunteering in her community, attending various art shows or music concerts.

BRAD RODE, PE
Sr Engineer / NW Ohio Office Manager

Brad’s pipeline engineering and project management experience in both the natural gas distribution and transmission sectors has provides UTI’s clients with economical and timely solutions. Outside of the office, Brad is an avid sports fan and can be found enjoying the outdoors with his wife and children.

EMILY SIMMS
GIS Manager

Emily brings a diverse background of oil and gas GIS program management and implementations to UTI. UTI’s GIS program offers clients the latest in GIS technology along with streamlined internal work management processes. When not surrounded by maps, Emily can be found exploring her new adopted hometown, Columbus.

JEFF MAYNARD
Operations Manager / SW Office Manager

Jeff manages UTI’s SW Ohio office, providing regional management support to some of UTI’s largest industrial, transmission, distribution, and master meter clients. With over a decade of experience working in the natural gas industry. When not leading projects, Jeff is leading his own way while backpacking and bicycling.
